I have had a picnic wicker basket made specially to fit on the luggage rack. As the bodywork of my Funtech is blue, the retaining leather straps have been made in matching blue with brass buckles. With its white wall tyres it looks a treat. I only drive it in Gibraltar because here it is safe. We pack all our beach clobber into the basket plus food and drink and off we go. Wherever it is parked it always draws attention. Children love it. Visitors take photographs. The Police halt the trafffic to let it go past. The buggy is the star. We love it. It has 16,000 miles on the clock and kept immaculate. Sleeps in the garage under a duvet. No expense is spared on it to keep it pristine.
Last year I had the engine redone and spent £800 on that. It fairly roars. This year all the undercarriage painted.
Additionally I have acquired an authentic 6 volt vintage Klaxon. It can make two sounds: Either a hooting noise or an ARRROOGAH noise. Depending on circumstance, depending on what noise bystanders and other traffic are treated to. LOL.
