Hi Mike,
Sorry to hear about springs. I had to replace my rear retrun springs on my POD Fun recently, and seem to remember it was a nightmare! Having removed the brake drum (comes off with the wheel), I couldn't access the shoes other than to poke the broken spring out with a screwdriver and a length of strong cord, then fiddle the new spring into position in one side, pulling the cord across the back of the hub plate and working the opther end of the spring into the hole in the other shoe, with the said screw driver and a pair of long nosed pliers. These I found very useful.
Done know if this helps, but it is my only experience with brakes thus far!.
Good luck,
Howard.
Hi

You will find springs from either Cunninghams or a local Bike Shop.

try and take an old one in if you can.

The open ends of the spring should face the Wheel side of the shoes.
( I Am assuming you have Drum Brakes )

I posted recently on how to do brake shoes......
managed to get new brakes from local motorcycle shop. the qpod brakes are exactly the same as the brakes off a honda 90. replaced and good as new. thanks guys. mike.
hi alex. how ya doing?. why, just out of curiosity, do the open ends of the spring face the wheel side???. only i put them in the other way round yesterday and drove about 10 miles on them with no problem. mike.

Hi Mike,
Sorry to ask, but what POD do you have? I have a sport with narrow tyres and ali wheels. Will the same brakes fit?

Howard.

i have a funtech m8. dunno if the same brakes will fit. do wot i did m8 and take the shoes down to local bike shop and ask for honda 90 brake shoes and see if they match.
Hi Mike,
Good thinking. Thanks for that.
Regards,
Howard.
Hi

The open ends face the wheel so that they can't possibly come out.

The back plate should stop them....

In reality it's not that important and i have never had a spring come off nomatter which way they are installed.
