Hi.
I Guess you rellay want to do this so....

WD40 is your friend.

I guess the engine is still in place ?

AT YOUR RISK

WD40 the Flywheel nut and leave it to soak.
Turn the engine until it's 1/2 way up it's compression stroke.
Lock off the other end of the crank with another spanner / socket.
if you can, appy some heat to the nut you want to undo.
Use a Breaker bar (NOT a ratchet) and a hammer to "shock" the nut undone.
Beware - the law dictates that the wrong nut will come undone.

If the engine is out and / or your going to rebuild it anyway:

Drop the cylinder head and cylinder off.
Put a rag over the mouth of the case to stop anything going in.
Use 2 blocks of wood and a bar through the piston pin to lock the crank.

Don't be tempted to poke anything through the plug hole.

Another method I have seen used is to turn the engine until it's 1/2 way up on the compression stroke then to fill the cylinder with oil through the plug hole and re fit the plug.
The fun bit is to get the oil out of the cylinder.

The "best way" is to buy special tool number XXXXXXXX to hold the flywheel whilst you undo the nut. Your local Lombardini dealer will probably have the required tool.
hi , you will really struggle ,try to get hold of a little compressor and a buzz gun , elvis
Thanks for all the advice...I'm only having to remove it to install the pull start mechanism....perhaps a trip to the local garage !!
