Hi,

Why are you having trouble with insurance?

I was in this position as I couldn't find insurance for myself when I was 16. When I did find it, I was messed about and ultimately could not find a single insurer to insure me.

I contacted BiBA and rang around an awful lot, speaking to both underwriters and insurers. I contacted my local MP and eventually was able to secure insurance for 16 year olds through MCE.

All you need to do is email the email address (really it shouldn't be posted online so no abuse if it is to remain there) and leave your number and name.

He will ring you back and will give you a quote.

I spent months finding this so I can't see your difficulty.

If you are still sure about selling your Qpod, the Qpodclub is really for owners who already have Qpods.

Try classic cars for sale (google them) as this site is for people with lots of money and an eye for something quirky.

i phoned MCE and they said they didnt do it for 16s
im very sorry but no because then there will be little holes in the boot
all the best with finding one mate

Hi,

I had this problem, when you ring MCE they do not know that they can insure Qpods. Please be assured that they can indeed be insured, providing you speak to Mark Etheridge. Either ask for him or send him an email.

If you don't wish to find insurance and are still going to sell it anyway, just say - in which case I will not carry on trying to help you find insurance for something you have no intention on insuring.

Ask Jules Philo, he has just obtained insurance in this last month.

Regards,

Jordan
Hi... Just insured with Footman James.... For my daughter when she was 16 it cost us £505, fully comp with my wife as principle driver...no no claims discount as she has a car too. This year it's cost 98 quid with just my wife, fully comp. No problem for them and 16 year olds it seems.

Hi,

Footman James underwrites for Royal Sun Alliance. They do not accept 16 year olds, only 17 year olds.

However if the main driver is above 17, they may accept a named 16 year old. Otherwise, I have spoken to the insurer who has no plans to insure 16 year olds on their own policies, correct as of January 2010.
thankz ill give in a try in the morning :)
