Hello Sarah,

I have very recently insured a Funtech 50 for me, with my 16 year old daughter as a named driver. I used MCE Insurance and spoke to Mark Etheridge. His email address is Mark.Etheridge@mceinsurance.com

I hope this helps :-)

it that electric??
Nope - in a word! You have to think bike. It's a moped with an egg on top. Realistically though, as long as you have the ignition key it's unlikely to be stolen. You could use a motorcycle lock on the wheel if you were worried. Some people put CD players in them but they're so noisy there's little point.
Hope this help,
Jaquelyn

and also can you lock it or is there no way or locking them
Hi Jack,
The only silly question is the one that's not asked so don't worry.
The basic pod comes looking rather like a beach buggy. You add the doors and cab kit if you want it.
You can't have doors without a cab kit as they fit onto it. They make a silly sun shade thing which is no use at all - more like a floppy umbrella. The best bet is a cab kit with full doors and roof. That wat you can take the roof off it it's nice and roll the windows right down (they're soft plastic) or even take the whole kit off if you want but you'll have no doors and things tend to roll out.
You can see mine here if you like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDXeVkEhVLI

HI Again Jack,
Remember I've had mine a few years now and she's quite old, but she was £1050 on ebay, the doors and cab kit were second-hand from Cunninghams and I think around £500, then I had to change the roll bar as mine was one of the very first ones and they weren't designed to take the cab kit. This cost £75 I think.
I sent you a link to one at Cunninghamsselling for £1,695 but it's worth hasseling lol.
Love
Jaquelyn
off hand i really dont remember but they really are not cheap at all
