Hi Chris new to all this ,
just got our 2006 sport and been on to the DVLA about the tax ( as im sure most podders have) and they have given me the runaround, i have sent Secma an EMAIL asking for the Certificate of Conformity that then has to be sent to Swansea with no guarantee of a reduction you would think with only 80.7gms/km of co2 and 338cc it would seem like a no brainer to me. dave

I agree that the tax on a pod is stoopid, i mean really stoopidly high.
The core issue is that a quadricycle is not required to go through an Emissions test at the Type approval stage.
Tjose of us who own Pre march 1st 2001 registered quads have no chance. That's the cut off for emissions testing for everything.
In the UK they therefore get taxed as PLG under 1550 cc engine size rather than on Emissions.
Whatever we do it'll be a long haul and will require more time than i personally can give.
Alex.
Hi Dave we have been there and done that mate we also have a copy of the COC if you want one. Problem is the DVLA don't know what to do about it and they literally don't know who could make the decision to change it - Bloomin useless mate!!! We gave up in the end the issue is that there are not enough of us in the country to get it changed maybe we should all write to the Minister of Transport!! If we were in france we would blockade the Houses Of Parliament with our QPods - We'd put Jackie at the front with Podgy She'd sort em out!!!

Hi Dave
The meet is at Byards Leap in Lincolnshire details are on this site from Tim. It would be great if you could come along last year we had 2 meets here and everyone had a ball. I have been trying to find a roof and doors for mine for over a year but the few that are available are very expensive. There's a set on e.bay now at 400 quid and they need some work. Where abouts are you in the country?
