Hi Mike in my experience you can put em wherever you want it doesn't matter cos you can't hear em over the engine noise...........
I would go with Chris on that one - I used to wear my ipod but gave up because I could hardly hear it over the engine, I had a spare radio/cd player which I did think about sticking in with a just a jack socket to plug some big earphones into but gave up with the idea.
and they will get soaking wet if not nicked!

Well yeah - you can actually buy a cover for the radio/CD to make it waterproof and also water proof speakers I had both these in a speedboat that I owned but even in the boat you couldn't hear the radio over the engine noise.
Don't. Just stick to singing loudly!
Hi Mike,
I've given up on this one for all the reasons members have given. There is a standing joke amongst my family, that when anyone asks about the POD, I say that it has everything a car has except a cigarette lighter and a radio....but
I don't smoke and the wife sings a lot!!
Regards,
Howard.
Headphones ,or you probable wont hear it ,

Yes, I have a cigarette lighter and a radio /cassette player, on my Funtech 350 (and white wall tyres too).,

The unit was a very tight fit and took me two days to get it in.

The speakers are under the dasboard, small ones.

I will try to get a picture taken so it can be posted here.

I am also thinking of trimming the dashboard in walnut, just to take it over the top, because one can !  LOL.

My son took it into his head to fit a cd player to my sport pod just after I bought it over 2 years ago.  It was a disaster as the cd jumped when going along and as previously said, you can't hear it anyway!  So I am left with the holes!

It took me 4 days to get my radio / casette player to fit in. I had to make a chassis for it that would fit the slot, otherwise it would not be supported and it would have suffered the same fate as yours. The problem is that there is a void under the space for it. The rectangular sleeve supplied with radios is not long enough to provide adequate support, that is why a fitted radio has to be supported from the rear, otherwise disaster.

The other headache was fitting the speakers. Fortunately these are very small. They are tucked under the "bonnet" and secured to brackets rivetted to the bodywork internally.

A labour of love, I assure you.

I am now going to fit a walnut surround to the speedo/ fuel dial. LOL.
