Qpod Club - be a part of the fun!

Hi

I have put the new regulator on and it still smells as if its getting hot.  Please could someone have a quick look at theirs - it is the small metal box with fins on just behind the middle of the no plate.   Could you tell me the wiring sequence left to right(6 connections) or better still send me a pic?

Many thanks

Martyn

Unfortunately the Manual I have downloaded only shows a partial diagram and currently waiting for a call back from Cunninghams but will be too old to drive by the time I get one!!

Hi martyn

Chack out this post:

Also check the 3 Yellow wires that plug in to the bottom of the regulator with a meter.

The resistance should be about the same between all 3 wires.

All 3 should connect to each other but NOT to Earth.

Hope this helps....

Alex.

Thanks Alex but I think my problem is the actual wiring - I thought I had numbered the wires to replace them on the new regulator there are 6 divided into 2 groups of 3.  in the one group; there are blue red and pink wires and in the other there are 2 yellows and a red.  On the bottom of the regulator the terminals seem to be markes left to right as G G R    + B L C  If someone could check theirs and let me which wire connects to which terminal I would really appreciate it.

thanks

Martyn

Hi Martyn,

Apart from all this, hope you are well!

Not much help but I just had a look at mine and all the wires are in a loom, sheathed with black plastic cover and there is a large rubber looking plug fitting to the regulator so I can't see any colours!

Have you called / emailed Cunninghams?  Maybe Elvis can help you!

Regards

Chris

Thanks Chris - the cover is just a dirt protector it rolls back and you can see the wires connected to the regulator.  I have left one message at Cunninghams but not had a reply - some things dont change

Martyn

I know what you mean!

I didn't realise it was justa a cover, will try to have a look tonight for you, it means taking the number plate off and to be perfectly honest, at the time I looked last night I just could not bring myself to do that!!!

Chris

Thanks a million Ron - I did have them on ok - but its peace of mind. Hopefully the burning smell is just newness - regards Martyn
