Qpod Club - be a part of the fun!

I have just burnt out my voltage regulator.

Seems an easy job to replace having just taken the old one off?

Anyone know where to get a replacement - ie do Cunninghams stock them.

Also Pod still runs without one - Im assuming its a no no to run without one?

Thanks

Martyn

I just bought a secondhand one from cunnighams. Is it a 5 or 6 pin? The volage regulator keeps the battery from melting or going flat. Mine fried the battery horrible smell keep an eye/nose out

It is a 6 pin - what did you pay for the second hand one?

30 or £40. Was the last 6 pin from a pod they were braking for parts. Before going there a bike place said they could make one for about £70

Got my Voltage Regulator by return of post.

Bryco(Thanks Ron T) supplied it for £75.  I shopped around and there are a vast number of

Lombardini agents around but there doesnt seem to be any sort of regulation(excuse the pun) on prices!
Cunninghams(surprise surprise) were the most expensive at £154.  Average seemed to be around £80.

Absolute sod to replace - one of those jobs where you need two hands but can only get about 1 finger in without taking the whole rear bumper off!  Also I strongly recommend marking the wires when you take them off!  I also strongly recommend that you check carefully when replacing the battery that you have the leads on the right way round - expensive mistake to make-lol!

Agreed! Ouch lol
