Alan replied to Geoff's discussion Drive Shaft Removal
"Geoff, it has occurred to me that if you remove the bolt through the lower suspension mount, you should be able to swing the whole wheel and hub assembly outwards, hinging on the shock upper mount and therefore releasing the U/J joint from the…"

Alan replied to Geoff's discussion Drive Shaft Removal
"Hi Geoff. You have a choice to either remove the Hub as an assembly, or to remove the drive shaft through the brake hub leaving the hub in place along with the brake still in place.  From memory the following needs to be done. Disconnect the…"

Alan commented on Rod Metcalfe's blog post Qpod sport gears
"Hi Rod.  If the gears select ok when the engine is off, then its probably caused by clutch drag.  This could be due to the tick over being set too high.  Reduce the idle to the minimum speed possible without stalling.  Adjuster…"

Alan commented on Rod Metcalfe's blog post Qpod sport 340
"Hi Rod. Yes the gearbox is totally separate from the engine oil. From memory the engine has a drain in the sump.  Fill with 20/50 oil through he dipstick hole. The gear box has a drain hole on the off side of the gear box.  The filler…"

Hi Alan NO it is a 338cc sport K.ev just fitted a gearbox he said came from a 50cc q-pod that he broke for spares as it would not sell he said mine had a crack in casing, I don't know if it was damaged when belt burnt out,,or when Secma fixed it,they didn't want me to see them repair it, but when i looked in next day i saw pod hanging vertically on a chain or rope from a ceiling beam rather worrying!, they were very annoyed i had come in and seen this and ushered me outside pronto.they brought it out 1 hour later charged me400euro new belt and fitted hand start kit . Next day found it was snatchy and jerky also jumped out of gear we were now in Boulogne seeing oil under gearbox decided to let kevin sort it so towed it to him. regards Barry Singer.
