"It is interesting to learn that the engines are virtually unbreakable. I didn't know that. I thought the Lombardini 340 air cooled engine was subject to the same caveats as any other engine.  I blew a gasket on mine so mine must be the…"

"The other point I have just thought of is risk of getting water into the brake drums. It may affect the braking efficiency and also the return spring and activating assembly may gather rust. If the return spring gets rusty it can fracture. This…"

Albert replied to Mathius's discussion Puddles
"The whole engine gets very hot. This is because the engine is air cooled and dependent on the rush of air as you motor to cool it a bit. Therefore also it is not a good idea to run the engine while stationary for long periods. When it rains,…"

"Secma are very unhelpful with everything. Are the mudguards on A QPod wider than the ones on a Funtech 350 with skinny tyres ? But the principle would be the same...metal bashing...I expect. Don't drift away. Let's stay in contact."

"I have skinny tyres on my Funtech 350. I have done 16,000 miles on them and they are mint, practically. I don't think taking it off road is a good idea anyway with nobblies or otherwise. It cannot do the suspension springs any good or the…"

Profile Information

What model of Qpod do you have?
Buggy
Do you have a motorhome?
No
About Me:
I have a Funtech 350 not a qpod. Navy blue with whitwall tyres, radio, half doors, full doors, roof, luggage rack, bumper. It has 13000 miles on the clock. It is my baby. Personalised number plate. X! CWM...Kiss me once and come along with me. LOL. I bought it here in Gibraltar and have had it in Spain, France, the UK and now back here. The car is the star. I use it daily. It stops the traffic. People at traffic lights prefer not to cross, just to see it go by. Children jump up and down with excitement when they see it. All the cars, lorries and motorbikes hoot. So I felt obliged to do something. I have fiotted it with a vintage Klaxon that goes ARRROOGAH !
I thought all you fellow podders might like to know. LOL.
