My Qpod Sport has never had a front number plate. It does not need one as it is classed as a quadracycle. It has been MOT d without trouble. All the Qpods sold by my dealership havent had front number plates Their owners have not had any problems.

Hi. Been a tad busy..... The starter Motor is a bit of a git to get out ( see my other posts). It can be done with the engine in, but you need to get the Jubalee clip off. The Click is the solonoid. Does the motor sound like it's spinning…

In addition to the starter motor advice that Barry has posted above do remember that a good quality battery such as a Yuasa one can make a lot of difference to starting a qpod.

Mine has done this a couple of times recently and the reason was that one of the battery terminals had vibrated loose. Turn the key and lights etc seem to work O.K. but the starter just clicks! Have you checked the terminals yet?

Hello Chris,
The first problem I had was cracks in both rear mudguards. Phil Cotton tried to claim I had left it parked where kids had jumped on it, but I knew I had never parked it anywhere unattended. He was quite rude about it. When he disappeared into his office I looked at the two brand new qpods he had just got in to his showroom, and they both had cracked mudguards! He then discovered that his demo one was cracked aswell - he suddenly changed his manner and got onto qpod! They wanted photographic evidence before they would change them and claimed they had never had this problem before.
The cracks started from the pop-rivet holes, and it was obvious that it was caused by faulty rivetting (the rivets had sqeezed the plastic too tightly).
Looking on e-bay I saw numerous qpods for sale with cracked mudguards, and comments from their owners made it clear that this is a very common problem.
Do you also have the problem with the washer bottle emptying itself on downhills and when braking?

Hello Chris,
Yes I got it From P.Cotton. As he was the only dealer in this part of the country, one of the questions I asked him before I bought it was what would happen if he stopped being a Qpod agent. He laughed and said it would never happen.
Nine months later when a bearing went wrong and I discovered the exhaust pipe weld had snapped he said he was unable to help as he was no longer a dealer! Barrus eventually put me onto their agent at Bolton-le-Sands (McGaffigans), who had never worked on a Qpod before, and he had it in for NINE WEEKS as Qpod were ridiculously slow at supplying the spare parts!
Where do you get yours done now?

Hello Chris.
You seem to be the only member near to me so far.
We should get together some time for a buzz around the Lakes!
Have you taken your Qpod over Wrynose & Hardknott yet?
