Hi It could be that the Rubber seal has perrished. if the rubber goes soft or gets a pinhole in it the fuel will not flow correctly or reliably. A Fuel tap from most Mopeds / motorcycles should work. Take the old tap with you. I thank a suzuki…

Hi Andrew, I removed both pipes from the fuel tank , fitted a short piece of pipe to the vacuum port on the tank valve. When I sucked, petrol flowed freely out of the other port. I refitted the pipes to the tank and the vacuum pipe to the…
