Was just browsing the web and have read two articles recently on French sites about a diesel version of the 500 being made by Secma. Does anyone know much more about it? Sounds like it will be very…Continue

I'm not a big fan of personalised plates myself, but there is a guy in Yorkshire selling X500 FUN on ebay if anyone is interested. Incidentally X500 FUN is the registration shown on Secma's home…Continue

Diesel Fun Extr'm 500

Was just browsing the web and have read two articles recently on French sites about a diesel version of the 500 being made by Secma. Does anyone know much more about it? Sounds like it will be very restricted to 45kmh aimed at a particular European licence? Here's a google translation of the article A NEW MODEL FOR 2010 SECMAAfter the fire in the spring of last year, which had ravaged some 3,500 m2 of premises, SECMA just obtained the building permit that will reconstruct the buildings on the…See More

Jordan - go for the Ligier if you can find a good un. Microcars are OK but IMHO tend to be somewhat over priced. The Aixam's are again ok, but do not take any abuse well. Sam - 2 people where I work have the Smart Roadster - They both love…

It is also the end of my QT500. As good as it is, I too need more practicality than it can offer. I am limited to a 500cc with cheap insurance yet there are other 500cc vehicles that are more practical than the QT; Aixams, Microcars, Ligiers etc.

Fairwell QT500

After much research, several test drives in various cars I decided the QT500 just isn't going to be practical enough as daily commuter and i've stopped looking for one now.I've decided to get a Smart Roadster Coupe instead. It was a close race and although the Roadster isn't as fun to drive as a QT500, it has a similarly unique design, is low to the ground, mid-engined and efficient just like the QT. Where it wins though is underneath it's a normal car. The Coupe version also has the hard top…See More

What is it you are looking for sam? I am reconsidering my QT as with the colder weather, it is not too pleasant. It is designed for the summer and does not fit my needs, as good as it is. If like me you need something small and quirky to get you…

Tazzari Zero Electric Quadricycle

I've been closely following this cars progress for over a year now and it's finally going into production soon/now after being shown at Bologna Motorshow. I like it in a quirky way, much like the QT. Obviously it's way too expensive new, but then all electric cars will be until they become more popular to bring battery prices down or the government helps us.Thought some fellow members here might be interested it? More info on t'internet.See More

The symptoms might be the same as a 106, but i'm pretty sure the fix was very simply. Something like a cable to check in engine bay or maybe a wire coming off the fusebox. I'll keep looking for you.

This is a common problem. That yellow one for sale on ebay a month or two ago had the same problem. I've read how to fix it somewhere, but can't remember where at moment? I'll let you know when I find it.

I honestly doubt the QT has ever been tested for CO2/km. It's not a £25 probe stuck up the exhaust job. From what I understand it's full on men in white coats with expensive kit on a rolling road simulator. Certainly the price must…

Sam replied to Jordan's discussion 'QT500 Emissions'
CO2/km is measured on a rolling road in a labatory using a 'combined cycle' across different driving conditions and not just at a single rpm. We'll never know accurate CO2 g/km unless Secma have had the car tested which I doubt very…

Price is too steep without any gullwings, so not that interested really. I've given myself until July 2010 to find one as that is when I no longer need a sensible car to drop my kid off at nursery!
