Hi Barry,

The cylinder has cleaned up better than I thought. I did it with the drive shafts in place (which was a nightmare), then I read your thread saying you had to take the drive shafts out, which would have made the job easier!
Cheers for the advice

I think you have got confused we used a new gearbox casing and gearsfrom a 50cc 4wheeler which has all the same gears the difference is the dif ratio which we used from a 340 as yours had been tow in gear and got very hot.Hence the cracked casing!

I thought 40mph was max speed anyway, I would not fancy going much faster in one ? Can't see belt being wrong

Ouch - I had a similar occurence when mine jumped into gear (actually a deck chair slid off the seat onto the gearstick) whilst being towed at about 55 mph! I got away with a broken drive belt. I'm not familiar with the 50cc 'pods, but I believe they are all 3 wheelers, so if that is the case then the bigger four wheel pods gearboxes are totally different? I don't really get much more than 40 mph out of my 350 anyway - perhaps 45 indicated on the wobbly speedo! I've had to replace both rear wheel bearings and one front on mine too. Its only done 4000 km, but the rear wheels have done far more than that whilst being towed. Wonder if the belt is slipping? Anyway, welcome to the club. Happy podding regards

Alan
