It took me 4 days to get my radio / casette player to fit in. I had to make a chassis for it that would fit the slot, otherwise it would not be supported and it would have suffered the same fate as yours. The problem is that there is a void under…

My son took it into his head to fit a cd player to my pod just after I bought it over 2 years ago.  It was a disaster as the cd jumped when going along and as previously said, you can't hear it anyway!  So I am left with the holes!

Well yeah - you can actually buy a cover for the radio/CD to make it waterproof and also water proof speakers I had both these in a speedboat that I owned but even in the boat you couldn't hear the radio over the engine noise.

I would go with Chris on that one - I used to wear my ipod but gave up because I could hardly hear it over the engine, I had a spare radio/cd player which I did think about sticking in with a just a jack socket to plug some big earphones into but…

Hi The open ends face the wheel so that they can't possibly come out. The back plate should stop them.... In reality it's not that important and i have never had a spring come off nomatter which way they are installed.
